Some weeks ago, I discovered the Spalt Georgensgmünd shortline route by spalterbockerl.
I fell in love with the route, but felt it needed a PBR rebuild, more efficient tree/bush scenery, period switches, and just a general over-haul of the entire routes scenery and terrain.
At first, the PBR terrain texture replacement and re-building the tree areas was enough, but the more I learned of the area history, the more I wanted to improve the route.
So, I decided to model both the Spalt and Georgensgmünd bahnhof.
Spalt
Georgensgmünd
Then came the iconic Hopfen warehouse homes in the town of Spalt. 6 new models in all
Then rebuilding the sand quarry site, and cloning a gondola car to carry sand as product, and adding in two new siding areas, to allow two-way line traffic.
Then a rebuild of all of the Hopfen and other farm fields, and the modeling of a period correct combine harvester. A Massey-Harris MH-20 combine.
The 1st commercially successful combine of it's time.
Yesterday and today sees new assets made for the bierfest !
New bandstand, hot air balloons as scenery, and drive-able scenery.
Rebuilding the tributary creeks, and the Fränkische Rezat river
The route is still a week or so away from completion.
I have yet to find assets to emulate the old creek crossing bridges. both for the roads near Georgensgmünd, and along the railway itself, as well as a few other tweaks to existing scenery
I am also still waiting for permission to upload the new route to the DLS from @spalterbockerl

Great respect for your work!
It remains to be seen whether the 'Spalterbockerl' will get in touch. Especially since his last activity here in the forum was in February 2020.

Amazing work!!!

hadotwe , Tilo82 - Thank you for your kind words
Added in Tiefenbach creek, which runs next to the sand quarry.
Since I could not find any stone bridges to match the old existing one's, that span the creek, I whipped up a couple of new ones
One is 20 x 5 meters, the other 20 by 10 meters, with a 30 degree slant. -
Hey, good morning, amazing work!
I am from the near of Spalt and it seems that this route is almost near reality.
Get it on, my friend!

Nice. Van you Tell me the kuid of the spline you are using dir the creek?
Sure, Tilo82
The main river spline is <kuid:942578:102936> BCP River Spline small
Part of a 3 spline set from brickcourt, all on the DLS<kuid:942578:102936> BCP River Spline small
<kuid:942578:102944> BCP River Spline island
<kuid:942578:102940> BCP River Spline midsize
For the white water spline, it is <kuid:494602:101948> MG River 2 -15mx15m-103 -

Thank you for the compliment
It is more an interpretation of the area, I think.
Road field placement and farm location are not accurate to existing locations, and since I have not been able to find a historical Stadtplan for either of the two, it's all very much representative, more of a compromise of what used to exist and my scenic embellishments, rather than prototypical.
The sand quarry is roughly in the correct location, and I am seeing many tributary creeks were left out of the original layout design, so I am adding in those missing water features, where feasible.
The two stone bridges I made are purely my design, since the real bridges are impossible to properly emulate using existing splines.
